Chief Boiler Operator

Job Overview We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated Chief Boiler Operator to lead the operation, maintenance, and safety of industrial boiler systems within our facility. This pivotal role ensures the reliable production of steam and hot water, supporting our manufacturing processes and energy needs. As a leader in boiler operations, you will oversee daily activities, troubleshoot complex systems, and ensure compliance with all safety regulations to maintain optimal plant performance. Duties Operate, monitor, and control large-scale boiler systems to ensure continuous and efficient operation. Perform routine inspections, preventive maintenance, and troubleshooting on boilers, HVAC/R systems, hydraulics, and related mechanical equipment. Read and interpret schematics, blueprints, and technical manuals to diagnose issues and implement repairs effectively. Oversee field service activities related to boiler systems and industrial maintenance projects. Maintain detailed logs of operational data, maintenance activities, safety checks, and incident reports. Ensure all equipment complies with safety standards and environmental regulations through regular audits and inspections. Lead emergency response efforts during system failures or safety incidents to minimize downtime and hazards. Skills Extensive knowledge of boiler operations, HVAC/R systems, hydraulics, and mechanical components. Proven experience with industrial mechanic work, field service operations, and complex troubleshooting. Ability to read schematics accurately and utilize technical manuals for repairs. Strong understanding of HVAC systems for climate control within industrial settings. Excellent maintenance skills with a focus on safety protocols and regulatory compliance. Effective customer service skills to collaborate with team members and external vendors. Demonstrated leadership in managing industrial maintenance teams or projects.
