  • Hardeeville, SC Curry Family Brands is a vertically integrated family of construction-focused businesses serving the Lowcountry and surrounding markets.
Our portfolio includes manufacturing, ready-mix concrete, aggregates, logistics, and disposal services. We are built on a foundation of quality, accountability, and long-term relationships. We are seeking a Chief Financial Officer (CFO) to provide strategic financial leadership across all operating companies. This role will partner directly with ownership and executive leadership to guide financial performance, support growth initiatives, and strengthen operational discipline across the organization. We are a professional, customer-centric organization with a collaborative, team-oriented culture. The ideal candidate is both strategic and hands-on, capable of leading at a high level while ensuring strong execution of core financial functions. Key Responsibilities
  • Strategic Leadership
  • Serve as a key advisor to ownership and executive leadership on financial strategy and business performance
  • Lead financial planning, budgeting, and forecasting across all operating companies
  • Drive long-term financial strategy aligned with company growth and expansion initiatives
  • Evaluate investment opportunities, capital allocation, and ROI across the portfolio Key Responsibilities
  • Financial Management & Reporting
  • Oversee preparation and analysis of financial statements, including balance sheets, income statements, and cash flow statements
  • Develop and maintain accurate, timely financial reporting and dashboards for leadership
  • Provide actionable insights to support strategic decision-making Key Responsibilities
  • Operational & Cost Control
  • Monitor and improve cost structures, margins, and overall financial efficiency
  • Lead cash flow management and ensure strong liquidity positioning
  • Oversee job costing, inventory accounting, and manufacturing cost analysis Key Responsibilities
  • Controls, Compliance & Risk
  • Establish and maintain strong internal controls and financial processes
  • Ensure compliance with accounting standards, tax requirements, and regulatory obligations
  • Identify financial risks and implement mitigation strategies Key Responsibilities
  • Team Leadership
  • Lead and develop the accounting and finance team across all companies
  • Mentor team members and establish clear processes, accountability, and performance expectations
  • Collaborate cross-functionally with operations, sales, and leadership teams Qualifications
  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field (CPA or CMA preferred)
  • 7-15+ years of progressive financial leadership experience, preferably in construction, manufacturing, or related industries
  • Strong knowledge of accounting principles, financial reporting, and internal controls
  • Experience with multi-entity or multi-division organizations strongly preferred
  • Proven ability to translate financial data into clear, actionable insights
  • High level of integrity, accountability, and attention to detail
  • Strong leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills
  • Proficiency in accounting systems and advanced Excel (NetSuite experience a plus) What We're Looking For
