Ethos is retained by our client that is in growth mode for a dynamic CFO that is hybrid in the Deer Park Texas area.
Summary:
A long-standing, family-owned industrial services company is seeking a strategic and operationally minded Chief Financial Officer (CFO) to join its executive leadership team. This organization has built a strong reputation through decades of customer partnership, operational excellence, and a commitment to its people. As the company continues to grow and evolve, the CFO will play a critical role in helping scale the business, strengthen financial infrastructure, and support long-term strategic initiatives. This opportunity is ideal for a hands-on finance executive who brings both strategic capability and operational depth. The CFO will serve as a trusted advisor to the CEO and leadership team while helping drive disciplined growth, financial visibility, process improvement, and organizational scalability.
Key Responsibilities:
  • Partner closely with the CEO and executive leadership team on long-term business strategy and operational planning
  • Lead all accounting, IT, finance, build treasury, forecasting, budgeting, audit, tax, and financial reporting functions
  • Develop scalable financial systems, reporting processes, and operational KPIs to support continued growth
  • Provide financial insights and recommendations to support business decisions, capital investments, and expansion initiatives
  • Drive cash flow management, working capital optimization, and financial discipline across the organization
  • Support operational leaders with pricing strategy, margin improvement, cost management, and performance analytics
  • Lead annual budgeting, forecasting, and long-range planning processes
  • Ensure strong internal controls, compliance, and audit readiness
  • Evaluate potential acquisition opportunities and support diligence, integration planning, and financial analysis as needed
  • Build and mentor a high-performing finance team while fostering a collaborative and accountable culture
  • Lead banking and external advisor relationships
  • Help modernize finance infrastructure, including ERP systems, reporting tools, and automation initiatives
Qualifications:
  • Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, or related field; CPA and/or MBA preferred
  • 10+ years of progressive finance leadership experience, including senior finance leadership or CFO-level responsibility
  • Strong operational finance, FP&A, and accounting leadership experience within industrial, manufacturing, engineering, construction, field services, or related industries
  • Experience helping organizations scale processes, systems, and reporting capabilities
  • Strong business partnership mindset with the ability to influence operations and executive leadership
  • Demonstrated leadership presence with a hands-on, roll-up-your-sleeves approach
  • Experience with ERP systems and financial modeling tools
