Job Description:
Leap Brands is partnering with a private equity-backed urgent care organization seeking a Chief Operating Officer to help lead and scale a rapidly growing multi-state platform. This is not a role for someone who wants to sit in meetings all day talking strategy while operations burn in the background. We are looking for a true operator who understands healthcare, knows how to build teams, improve systems, drive accountability, and scale a business without losing operational discipline or patient experience along the way. The company is actively growing across multiple markets and needs a leader who can bring structure, consistency, speed, and operational excellence to the platform while partnering closely with ownership and executive leadership on growth strategy. The ideal candidate understands the complexity of healthcare operations while also recognizing this is still a business that must perform financially, operationally, and culturally. Responsibilities Lead day-to-day operations across a multi-state urgent care platform Drive operational consistency, patient experience, staffing performance, and financial results across all clinics Build scalable systems, processes, and infrastructure to support aggressive growth Partner with private equity ownership and executive leadership on strategic initiatives, expansion, integrations, and operational improvements Oversee field operations, regional leadership, clinic performance, staffing models, scheduling, and patient flow Improve KPIs related to patient satisfaction, wait times, provider productivity, labor management, revenue cycle, and clinic profitability Develop and mentor regional and field leadership teams while building future leadership bench strength Ensure compliance with healthcare regulations, accreditation standards, and operational policies across all locations Support M&A integration efforts including operational alignment, culture integration, and systems implementation Work cross-functionally with Finance, HR, Recruiting, Revenue Cycle, Clinical Leadership, Marketing, and Development teams Create a culture of accountability, urgency, execution, and continuous improvement Qualifications Senior multi-site healthcare operations leadership experience required Experience within urgent care, healthcare services, outpatient clinics, physician practice management, dental, behavioral health, or related multi-unit healthcare environments Proven success scaling multi-state operations in high-growth environments Strong financial and operational acumen with deep understanding of KPIs and unit-level performance Experience working within private equity-backed organizations strongly preferred Demonstrated ability to lead large teams across multiple markets and organizational layers Strong leadership presence with the ability to influence both field operations and executive leadership Experience integrating acquisitions and improving operational infrastructure preferred Comfortable operating in fast-paced, evolving, and high-accountability environments
