Child Care Center Cook and Break Person

Job Summary We are seeking a dedicated and passionate Child Care Center Cook to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for preparing nutritious and delicious meals for children in our care, ensuring that all dietary needs are met while adhering to food safety standards. This role is essential in creating a positive dining experience that supports the overall well-being of the children. All Kentucky Child care workers may apply for free child care regardless of household income. Duties Prepare and cook balanced meals and snacks according to established menus, ensuring nutritional guidelines are met. Plan menus that accommodate various dietary restrictions and preferences, including allergies and special diets. Maintain cleanliness and organization of the kitchen area, including proper storage of food items. Ensure compliance with all food handling and safety regulations, including sanitation practices. Knowledge of CACFP regulations prefered Requirements Proven experience in the food industry or culinary field, preferably in a child care or educational setting. Knowledge of food handling practices and safety regulations. Ability to work effectively in a kitchen environment while managing time efficiently. Excellent communication skills to interact with staff and children positively. A passion for cooking and providing healthy meals that contribute to children's growth and development.
