Job Description
Job Summary We are seeking a passionate and dynamic Child Care Director to lead and oversee our early childhood program. In this vital role, you will ensure the delivery of high-quality care and education for children ages 6weeks to 12 years. Your leadership will foster a nurturing, safe, and engaging environment that promotes childhood development, learning, and well-being. As a Child Care Director, you will coordinate staff, manage daily operations, and uphold licensing standards while inspiring a team dedicated to enriching young lives through compassionate caregiving and innovative teaching practices. Duties Lead the development and implementation of age-appropriate curricula that support early childhood education principles and promote developmental growth. Supervise and support teaching staff, ensuring effective classroom management, behavior guidance, and adherence to safety protocols. Oversee daily operations of the childcare facility, including enrollment processes, scheduling, and maintaining compliance with licensing regulations. Conduct regular staff training on topics such as first aid, special education strategies, working with children with disabilities, and behavior management techniques. Foster strong relationships with children's families through open communication, progress updates, and collaborative problem-solving. Ensure a safe environment by maintaining cleanliness, conducting safety drills, and managing emergency procedures like first aid response. Monitor classroom environments to ensure they are engaging, inclusive, and conducive to learning for children of all abilities. Manage administrative tasks such as budgeting, record-keeping for child development milestones, and licensing documentation. Skills Extensive knowledge of childhood development theories and early childhood education best practices. Proven experience in classroom management within childcare settings. Strong leadership skills with the ability to motivate and supervise staff effectively. Excellent communication skills for engaging with children, families, staff, and regulatory agencies. Certification in first aid and CPR is required; additional certifications in special education or working with individuals with disabilities are highly desirable. Familiarity with classroom experience involving infants, toddlers, preschoolers, and early childhood curriculum planning. Ability to handle caregiving responsibilities such as infant care, toddler care, or working with children with diverse needs.
