The Lead Teacher is responsible for managing the classroom, implementing lesson plans, and creating a nurturing, structured, and engaging learning environment. This role involves strong communication with parents, collaboration with staff, and supporting the developmental needs of young children. Duties & Responsibilities Implement and follow weekly lesson plans that support age-appropriate learning and development Lead classroom activities and daily routines while maintaining a safe, structured environment Supervise and mentor Assistant Teachers and Teacher's Aides Monitor children's behavior, development, and progress; maintain daily logs and reports Communicate regularly with parents regarding progress, milestones, and concerns Collaborate with other teachers and administration to ensure consistency across classrooms Maintain a clean, organized, and welcoming classroom environment Provide care and appropriate accommodations for children with special needs or disabilities Ensure compliance with daycare licensing regulations and safety standards Qualifications & Experience Experience working in a licensed daycare facility Previous experience as a Lead Teacher or in a classroom leadership role preferred Experience caring for children under 4 Familiarity with curriculum planning and classroom management First Aid and CPR Certification preferred Job Type Full-time Benefits Childcare Dental, Health, Vision, and Life Insurance Employee Discount Flexible Schedule Professional Development Assistance Work Location In person
