About Us:
Healing Connections is a child-centered private practice dedicated to helping children and families heal, grow, and connect through play and expressive therapy. We specialize in developmentally appropriate, relationship-based care and are passionate about supporting both our clients and our clinicians .
Position Overview:
We are seeking a compassionate, motivated therapist—including new graduates with a Limited License (LLMSW, LLPC, LLAMFT)—who is passionate about working with children and families. This role is ideal for someone who wants hands-on experience, mentorship, and training in play therapy and expressive approaches in a supportive group practice setting. Responsibilities:
Provide therapy to children and adolescents using play-based and expressive approaches Build strong, supportive relationships with clients and caregivers Collaborate with parents to support progress outside of sessions Maintain timely documentation Grow and maintain a caseload over time
Qualifications:
Master's degree in Social Work, Counseling, or related field Limited License in Michigan (LLMSW, LLPC, LLAMFT) or fully licensed Strong interest in working with children and families Openness to learning play therapy and expressive modalities Warm, engaging, and relationship-focused Ideal Candidate You genuinely enjoy being with children—not just treating them, but connecting with them. You're playful, curious, and able to meet kids at their level while still holding a therapeutic lens. You're eager to learn, open to feedback, and excited to grow into a confident child therapist.
