Primary Purpose:
Assists the Director Child Nutrition Services in assigned areas. Ensures all policies and procedures are adhered to and enforced. Supports daily operational and administrative tasks.
Qualifications:
Education/Certification:
High School Diploma or GED Level 5 certification Texas Association for School Nutrition, preferred
ServSafe Manager Experience:
3 years in a supervisory position within School Food Service, preferred. Experience in quantity food preparation, personnel management, work simplification and computer applications. Knowledge of NSLP, SBP, SSO, CACFP and FFVP. Knowledge of food production and record keeping.

Major Responsibilities and Duties:
Assists in the improvement of the overall department through demonstration, supervision and inservice programs for employees. Maintains high visibility during meal hours in order to ensure availability and to evidence concern for student/customer/employee needs. Assists with the enforcement of policies for receiving, distributing, and using government commodity food items following mandated USDA and TDA guidelines. Coordinates and oversees the Child and Adult Care Feeding Program. Coordinates the operation of the Concession Stand at Hopper Field. Serves as district contact person for PrimeroEdge, technology issues and technology inventory. Develops, maintains and monitors the district's HACCP plan. Monitors and processes personnel time records including leave requests. Processes payroll and absences. Tracks adult meal accounts and charges. Performs routine school visits to ensure that campuses are in compliance with TFER, USDA and TDA regulations. Health Inspections & Health certificate Assists in the implementation of operational procedure for food production, district wide standardization of menus, recipes and food quality. Assists in the development and coordination of staff inservice training. Assists in maintaining the department handbooks and procedure manuals. Ensure all maintenance issues are reported and resolved in a timely manner. Participates in professional activities thereby providing for personal enrichment and strengthening lines of communication. Performs other duties and responsibilities as assigned by the Director Child Nutrition Services.
