  • Part-time Overview We are seeking a compassionate and dedicated Childcare Attendant to join our team.
This role involves providing attentive care and engaging activities for children of various ages, supporting their development in a safe and nurturing environment. The ideal candidate will have a genuine love for working with children, experience in early childhood education, and the ability to foster positive growth through behavior management and educational activities. Prior experience with toddlers, infants, and children with special needs is highly valued. This position offers an opportunity to make a meaningful impact on children's lives while developing your skills in childcare and early childhood development. Responsibilities Supervise and engage children during daily activities, ensuring their safety and well-being at all times Implement age-appropriate educational activities that promote childhood development and learning Support children with disabilities by adapting activities to meet individual needs Maintain a clean, organized, and stimulating environment conducive to learning and play Practice behavior management techniques to encourage positive social interactions Communicate effectively with parents or guardians regarding children's progress and daily experiences Follow all safety protocols, including first aid procedures when necessary Collaborate with team members to create a supportive community focused on children's growth Experience Prior experience working with children in settings such as daycare, preschool, babysitting, or nannying is preferred Knowledge of childhood development principles and early childhood education practices Experience caring for infants, toddlers, or children with disabilities is a plus Classroom experience or caregiving background demonstrating patience and adaptability Certification in first aid or CPR is advantageous but not required; training may be provided for the right candidate Strong communication skills and the ability to manage behavior effectively are essential for success in this role
