Job Description

Children's House Montessori Teacher Assistant (Ages 3-6) We are seeking a dedicated and passionate Children's House Montessori Teacher Assistant to join our school community. The ideal candidate will have Montessori training or experience, but exceptional candidates without specific Montessori background may be considered for training.
Responsibilities:
Implement Montessori curriculum and philosophy for ages 3-6 Create and maintain a stimulating, safe, and nurturing classroom environment Observe, guide, and assess children's progress, maintaining detailed records Communicate regularly with parents about their child's development Collaborate with other teachers and staff to enhance the learning experience Participate in school activities and accompany students on field trips Ensure classroom materials and equipment are well-maintained and available Reliably work between the hours of 8:30am-5:00pm
Qualifications:
Bachelor's degree is
MUST:
ideally in Education or Early Childhood Education—related fields may be considered Montessori training or certification preferred Experience teaching in a Montessori environment is highly desirable Strong understanding of child development and Montessori philosophy Excellent communication and interpersonal skills Patience, creativity, and a genuine love for working with children

Ability to create rapport and build trusting relationships with students Commitment to ongoing professional development and lifelong learning Skill in observing and responding to individual student needs Capacity to model and instill positive values such as respect, kindness, and accountability
Additional Information:
Training opportunities may be available for exceptional candidates without specific Montessori experience The position requires the ability to multitask, remain calm under pressure, and adapt to the changing needs of students We regret that we are unable to consider applicants without at least a Bachelor's degree.
