Vital Health Management is a dedicated community mental health center committed to providing compassionate care and support to individuals and families. We are looking for a passionate, skilled, and dedicated Children's Therapist to join our growing team. This is a great opportunity to make a direct impact on the lives of children and their families, fostering a supportive and healing environment.Job Overview :
The Children's Therapist will provide individual therapy, group therapy, and family counseling to children aged 5-17. This role will involve the creation of tailored therapeutic plans, collaborating with parents, teachers, and other healthcare providers to ensure holistic care, and delivering therapeutic interventions to address emotional, behavioral, and psychological needs. The ideal candidate will be committed to promoting positive mental health and supporting children's development and well-being.Key Responsibilities :
Conduct individual and group therapy sessions for children and adolescents, using evidence-based therapeutic techniques. Develop individualized treatment plans that address the specific needs of each child. Work with parents, caregivers, and teachers to provide guidance and support in managing behavioral or emotional challenges. Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams, including psychiatrists, social workers, and medical professionals, to ensure integrated care. Provide crisis intervention and support when needed. Document client progress, treatment plans, and other relevant information accurately and in compliance with all regulatory requirements. Ensure confidentiality and maintain proper records in accordance with HIPAA guidelines. Participate in regular clinical supervision and team meetings.Qualifications :
Master's Degree in Social Work, Psychology, or related field. Current state licensure as a Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW), Licensed Professional Counselor (LPC), or equivalent licensure. Minimum of 2 years of experience working with children and adolescents in a therapeutic setting. Knowledge of evidence-based therapeutic modalities (e.g., CBT, DBT, Play Therapy). Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work collaboratively with families and other professionals. Ability to manage challenging behaviors and provide crisis intervention when necessary. Commitment to continuous professional development and staying current on best practices.Preferred Qualifications :
Experience working in a community mental health setting. Bilingual in English and Spanish (preferred but not required).What We Offer :
