Chim Cheroo Chimney Services, Inc. has been in business for over 35 years and is a trusted provider of chimney, fireplace, gas hearth, and masonry services, committed to safety, quality workmanship, and excellent customer service. We service North Central Ohio areas, including Richland, Ashland, Lorain, Sandusky, Huron, Erie, Ottawa, Crawford, and Wayne Counties. We are looking for a hardworking and motivated Technician to support our team in sales, chimney maintenance, repairs, and masonry work.

Job Responsibilities:

Chimney Technician Duties:

Become CSIA(Chimney Safety Institute of America) certified. Perform inspections, cleanings, repairs, and installations. Carry tools, ladders, and equipment to and from job sites. Maintain a clean and organized work environment, including job sites and company vehicles. Follow safety protocols and procedures to ensure a secure working environment. Communicate professionally with customers and team members. Learn and develop technical skills related to chimney maintenance and repair.

Qualifications:

Demonstrates success in outside sales, ideally within industries such as HVAC, construction, or other home service fields, with a history of achieving or surpassing sales targets. Hands-on experience performing in-home or on-site assessments, developing accurate estimates, and confidently presenting service solutions to homeowners and insurance professionals. Solid understanding of the customer journey—from first contact to project completion—including building trust, overcoming objections, and generating repeat and referral business. Strong communication skills, both verbal and written, with the ability to clearly and professionally explain technical concepts to customers. Driven, self-starting individual who is comfortable working independently in the field, managing time effectively, and staying organized in a fast-moving environment. Professional and customer-focused approach, with excellent problem-solving abilities and confidence representing the company in residential, commercial, and networking settings. On-the-job training provided. Ability to work at heights, on ladders, and in various weather conditions. Strong work ethic, reliability, and willingness to learn a skilled trade. Ability to lift 50+ lbs and perform physically demanding tasks. Valid driver's license with a clean driving record preferred. Must be comfortable working in tight spaces and on rooftops.
