Job Description

Westaff is HIRING a Choice Voucher Case Manager in Lafayette, La.
Pay:
$19.24/
Hour Hours:
Monday-Friday 8:00am -5:00pm
Qualifications:
  • Bachelor Degree or Associate Degree in social service or related field preferred or
  • Two years of case management experience; Computer literacy is required.
  • Knowledge of general operation and procedures of the
Housing Choice Voucher Program Responsibilities:
  • Interview applicants who are enrolling in the HVC program and participants who are continuing in the program and brief them on available housing assistance.
  • Determine rent, program subsidy, and enroll clients.
  • Compute changes in participant incomes, assets, and allowances.
  • Verify income declarations in determining rent and program subsidies and submit verifications to appropriate sources.
  • Prepare housing eligibility determination for certification of Housing Choice Voucher applicants.
  • Request HVC Inspector to verify housing unit compliance after preliminary contact with property owner and review HCV Inspector's report.
  • Submit Housing Assistance Payment contract for signature along with an informational packet explaining the contractual agreement between company and the owner.
  • Act as a point of contact for rental assistance conflicts between landlord and tenant.
