Position:

Choir Teacher

Location:

North Putnam High School/Middle School

Qualifications:

Must hold an Indiana teaching license. A Bachelor's Degree in Music Education, Vocal Performance, or a related field is required. Experience preferred as a Choral Director or teacher The candidate must demonstrate excellent communication skills, including writing and presentation abilities. Ability to organize and prioritize work, resolve problems, follow through, and manage multiple priorities to ensure that goals are met in a timely manner. Develop and implement a full vocal program for the grades assigned. Develop and implement an understanding of the fundamentals and backgrounds of music for the grades assigned. Develop and maintain a music library in cooperation with other music teachers. Collect and maintain any support equipment needed for students and the overall program. Conduct student performances at school functions and lead the involvement of students in available competition opportunities.

Responsibilities:

Work collaboratively with other teachers to provide a stimulating teaching and learning environment for students.

Salary:

Commensurate with experience
