Maintain appropriate teaching certifications and a commitment to continual professional growth (e.g., through ACSI certification).

Reflect a stable, God-honoring home life that models biblical values.

Serve as a Christian role model in speech, conduct, and attitude both on and off campus.

Support the school's mission, leadership, and decisions in a spirit of unity. Core Responsibilities Instructional Duties Teach assigned subjects and grade levels using approved curriculum and resources. Enhance instruction with supplementary materials, field trips, guest speakers, and creative learning experiences. Continuously assess and adjust teaching strategies to meet student needs. Meetings & Participation Attend and actively participate in: Faculty and staff meetings Scheduled parent-teacher conferences Evening programs involving your students Professional development sessions Other school meetings or functions as assigned Professional Development Work toward maintaining or renewing teaching certification (e.g., through ACSI or applicable state credentials). Engage in ongoing training and development that supports Christian education and instructional excellence. Administrative & Paperwork Responsibilities Complete all required documentation including: Report cards and grade records for permanent files Student attendance records Classroom inventory (books, supplies, equipment) Records related to achievement testing (administration and scoring) End-of-year reports and evaluations Timely communication with parents regarding behavioral or academic concerns Any other paperwork assigned by administration Classroom Management Maintain a clean, organized, and well-functioning classroom environment. Participate in daily and year-end cleaning of the classroom area. Assist in maintaining general cleanliness throughout school facilities. Promptly report facility repair or maintenance needs to the administration.
Maintain appropriate classroom discipline:
Address minor behavioral issues personally Refer serious or recurring issues to the Head of Schools Student & Parent Communication Be available before or after school for parent or student conferences. Schedule and conduct formal conferences with parents as needed. Maintain regular, positive communication with families regarding student progress and classroom activities. Additional Responsibilities Supervise extracurricular activities, school events, or field trips as assigned. Demonstrate a consistent walk with the Lord, showing spiritual leadership among peers and students. Resolve conflicts using the Matthew 18 principle, avoiding gossip and negativity. Support the leadership of the school and work collaboratively with colleagues. Carry out additional duties as assigned by the Head of Schools or required by the Board.
