$135,000-$175,000 base salary (depending on experience)An established and growing general contractor is seeking a Civil Construction Area Manager to lead civil operations in and around Belgrade, Montana. This role provides full oversight of multiple projects while serving as a key driver of operational performance, financial results, and team development.

ResponsibilitiesOversee multiple civil construction projects from preconstruction through completionLead and support Project Managers and Superintendents to ensure safety, schedule, budget, and quality targets are metManage area‑level financial performance, including budgets, forecasting, job costs, billing, and change managementOwn P&L performance and drive margin improvement and operational efficiencyCoordinate labor, equipment, and resources across the project portfolioSupport relationships with owners, engineers, and trade partnersHelp recruit, mentor, and retain high‑performing project and field leadershipEnsure compliance with contract requirements, safety standards, and company proceduresExperience Needed8-15+ years of experience in civil construction with a general contractorPrior responsibility overseeing multiple projects simultaneouslyStrong background in site development, earthwork, underground utilities, or similar civil scopesExperience leading project teams and driving operational performanceDemonstrated success managing project budgets and job profitabilityQualificationsBachelor's degree in Civil Engineering, Construction Management, or a related field (or comparable experience)Strong understanding of job cost reporting, forecasting, and financial controlsAbility to balance strategic leadership with hands‑on operational involvementEffective communicator with strong leadership and decision‑making skillsProficiency with construction management software and Microsoft Office toolsKnowledge of civil construction safety standards and best practicesPMP, CCM, or similar certifications are a plus but not requiredCompensation & BenefitsBase salary range of $135,000-$175,000Performance‑based bonus opportunityMedical, dental, and vision insuranceRetirement plan with employer matchPaid time off and paid holidaysVehicle allowance or company vehicleFuel cardLong‑term career growth within a stable and expanding organizationRelocation assistance may be available for qualified candidatesCall to ActionIndividuals with strong civil construction leadership experience who are interested in learning more are encouraged to apply for confidential consideration.
