Position Summary:

We are "Golden State Design & Engineering" a small developing full service residential Design & Engineering firm looking to on-board a highly motivated, experienced, entry-level structural engineer to become a part of our team and ultimately take a leading role in our structural engineering department as we continue to develop our growing firm.

Completing a total of (170) various residential new construction and alteration project. With our experienced and fine-tuned dynamic teamwork we look to further develop our team, our reach into the industry, our relationships, and to continue providing our clients with industry leading design & engineering services within the residential sector. Responsibilities:

• Prepare complete civil design
• ground and under land development schematic plan sets for permitting of residential development projects in accordance with jurisdictional requirements.
• Preform complete civil calculations, analyzing site for development and feasibility, and other civil design elements associated with subdividing and civil improvement plans.
• Provide typical and specific drafting details to describe building system.
• Conduct occasional structural inspections field visits, measurements, review existing as-built construction, review and communicate with 3rd party consultant and meet with clients/contractors.
• Periodically design, prepare and analyze structural engineering calc and schematics for civil site features.
• Analyze project hazards and provide detailed, cost-effective solutions.
• Innovate and improve current design system/procedures.
• Training and develop structural design team for future succession and expansion.

Qualifications/Requirements:

• B.S. degree in Structural or Civil Engineering (required)
• Professional Engineer License in state of California
• Effective soft skills (written/verbal)
• Access to automotive transportation
• Work Authorization
• Effective teamwork and team building abilities
• Strong multi-tasking, organizational and time management skills
• Advanced knowledge of current building design codes and applications
• Analytical/Strategic thinking abilities
• High attention to detail
• Ability to Pioneer/ self-innovate in a developing business environment

Pay:

• Hourly ($45
• $65)

Schedule:

• Full Time Position:

  8hr Shifts /40hr's a week
• Monday-Friday (9:00am-5:30pm) PT
• (2) 10-15min breaks included
• 30min lunch break

Experience:

• 3-5 years of Civil design experience (preferably residential sector)
• 3-5 years' experience with Autodesk Civil #D
• LID stormwater management calculations
• Microsoft 365 (Word, Excel, Etc.)
• Adobe Acrobat
• Google Products Benefits & Supplemental Pay After +1
