The Role We are seeking a highly qualified Labor Foreman to lead our field operations. This isn't just a "boots on the ground" role; it's a leadership position that bridges the gap between complex engineering plans and field execution. You will be responsible for managing crews, ensuring Caltrans specifications are met to the letter, and maintaining the digital trail of a modern job site.

Key Responsibilities Field Leadership:

Supervise and coordinate crews specializing in concrete, asphalt paving, and general civil work.

Contract Administration:

Review project plans, manage daily logs, and ensure all work aligns with contract specifications and Caltrans standards.

Communication:

Act as the primary point of contact between project managers, inspectors, and subcontractors.

Project Management Software:

Use Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, Outlook) as well as project management software to track progress, report hours, and manage digital documentation.

Safety & Quality:

Enforce strict safety protocols and ensure the highest quality of workmanship on every pour and every lift. Qualifications At least one (1) year of proven experience as a Labor Foreman in civil construction. Strong supervisory Skills , including leading and managing teams effectively Proficiency in Microsoft Office is a must. You should be as comfortable with a tablet, laptop, and cell phone. Familiarity with Project Management Software is a plus. A valid California driver's license and a willingness to travel to various job sites throughout Southern California. Effective communication skills for coordinating with team members and stakeholders Experience in field project management and general construction techniques Understanding of OSHA safety regulations and best practices on construction sites Ability to work well under pressure and meet tight deadlines A high school diploma or equivalent; additional certifications in construction or related fields are a plus. Starting Pay Rate:

Prevailing wage starting at $78.09 per hour (including fringe benefits).
