Job Summary About thePaid Leave Division:
Paid Leave is a new program that launched January 1, 2026. The program provides partial wage replacement to Minnesota workers that are out of work due to a qualifying condition such as a serious health condition that prevents you from working, or when you need time to care for a family member or a new child. We have built a program that is easy for every Minnesotan to use. We are engaging the people who depend on us: workers, employers, caregivers, and insurers, to learn from them and continue to improve the program around what they need. We are using moderns service delivery and product practices to deliver the program. The Paid Leave team has high standards and an unrelenting commitment to serving Minnesotans. It is a start-up environment without legacy systems or preconceived ways of working. Our aim is to deliver a service that delights Minnesotans. The Claims Adjudication Supervisor oversees the claims processing team, ensuring efficiency, accuracy, and compliance with program regulations. The Claims Adjudication Supervisor leads the team, manages escalated claims, and drives continuous process improvements to meet program objectives. The Claims Adjudication Supervisor provides direct supervision and operational support to claims staff. Serves claimants by overseeing the quality, consistency, and timeliness of claims processing activities. The Claims Adjudication Supervisor reports to higher-level management, offering analysis, updates, and recommendations related to processing performance and operation outcomes, The Claims Adjudication Supervisor may also collaborate with external partners or auditors as needed to support program compliance, accountability, and continuous process improvement. This position will be based out of the St. Paul office. This position is telework eligible. Staff are provided with the tools and equipment to be successful in a virtual work environment. Please note, the telework policy could change with notice based on business needs. This posting may be used to fill multiple positions. This is a temporary unclassified appointment anticipated to last up to twelve (12) months. Qualifications Minimum Qualifications Two (2) years of experience in adjudication. Applicants that meet the above minimum qualifications will be further evaluated on the following: Experience leading or supervising a team to achieve organizational goals in productivity and quality. Knowledge of claims processing best practices and technologies, with expertise in supervising and auditing the adjudication process. Ability to coach, mentor, and lead a team. Ability to communicate effectively with internal and external parties. Ability to develop, implement, and improve projects to produce desired results in a timely fashion. Ability to work in a fast-paced environment, and meeting short deadlines. Preferred Qualifications Knowledge of data analysis tools for monitoring performance and quality control. Understanding of relevant laws, regulations, and policies (e.g., insurance, paid leave statutes, healthcare regulations). Experience supervising claims in insurance, paid leave, and/or healthcare.
