Class A CDL Driver

Overview Join our dynamic team as a Class A CDL Driver and take charge of delivering freight efficiently and safely across diverse routes. This role offers an exciting opportunity to operate a variety of trucks, including tractor-trailers and tankers. As a key player in our logistics network, you'll ensure timely delivery, proper load handling, and excellent customer service. Your expertise in commercial driving combined with your passion for safe operation will drive our success forward. Responsibilities Safely operate Class A commercial vehicles, including tractor-trailers, flatbeds, and tankers, adhering to all safety regulations and company policies Load and unload freight efficiently using appropriate equipment such as forklifts when necessary Transport freight across assigned routes while maintaining accurate delivery schedules Conduct pre-trip and post-trip inspections to ensure vehicle safety and compliance with Department of Transportation (DOT) standards Secure loads properly for transit, especially when handling specialized cargo. Maintain detailed logs of driving hours, vehicle maintenance needs, and delivery documentation in accordance with federal regulations Communicate effectively with dispatch to coordinate route changes or address delivery issues promptly Requirements Valid Class A Commercial Driver's License (CDL) with a clean driving record Proven experience operating tractor-trailers and other heavy-duty trucks. Strong knowledge of manual transmission operation and proficiency in driving various truck configurations Experience with freight handling including load & unload procedures and securing cargo safely Ability to perform routine vehicle inspections and basic maintenance checks Familiarity with route driving and delivery schedules across diverse terrains and environments Physical ability to lift heavy loads and perform tasks requiring manual dexterity; forklift certification is a plus Excellent communication skills to coordinate with dispatchers and customers effectively Embark on a rewarding career where safety meets efficiency!
