Position Overview As a Flatbed CDL Truck Driver with Kodal Transport Inc, you will be responsible for the safe and timely transportation of a variety of materials. This position requires professionalism, attention to safety, and the ability to adapt to changing seasonal freight demands. Key Responsibilities- Safe Transportation Operate and maintain a flatbed truck in compliance with all company policies and DOT regulations. Safely transport freight including steel, lumber, shingles, and other seasonal materials. Properly secure all loads using straps, chains, binders, and tarps. Route Planning & Deliveries Plan efficient routes to ensure on-time deliveries. Maintain fuel efficiency and comply with delivery schedules. Loading & Unloading Assist with loading and unloading freight when necessary. Ensure cargo is properly secured before transport. Vehicle Maintenance Perform pre-trip and post-trip inspections. Report maintenance issues promptly and keep equipment in good working condition. Documentation Maintain accurate logs, trip reports, bills of lading, and other required paperwork. Customer Service Represent the company professionally at pickup and delivery locations. Maintain positive relationships with customers and suppliers. Safety & Compliance Follow all federal, state, and local transportation regulations. Prioritize safety in all aspects of the job, including cargo securement and safe driving practices. Qualifications Valid Class A CDL license Clean driving record Flatbed experience preferred Strong understanding of safety regulations and cargo securement Good communication and customer service skills Ability to handle the physical demands of flatbed trucking Strong organizational skills and attention to detail Flexibility to handle seasonal freight changes Willingness to work long hours as needed Why Join Kodal Transport Inc?
