In this role, you will operate and program CNC (Computer Numerical Control) machines, including lathes and milling machines, to produce precision components that meet strict quality standards. Your expertise in blueprint reading, GD&T (Geometric Dimensioning and Tolerancing), and mechanical knowledge will be essential in ensuring the accuracy and efficiency of our production processes. This position offers an exciting opportunity for a motivated professional to contribute to high-quality manufacturing projects using advanced tools and techniques. Responsibilities Set up, operate, and troubleshoot CNC machining centers such as CNC lathes and milling machines, primarily using Fanuc controls. Develop and modify CNC programs through CAM programming software to optimize machining operations. Interpret detailed blueprints, technical drawings, and GD&T specifications to produce precise parts. Use precision measuring instruments including calipers, micrometers, bore gauges, and coordinate measuring machines (CMM) to verify dimensions. Perform routine maintenance on machinery and tools to ensure optimal performance and safety standards. Utilize hand tools, power tools, tooling, and welding equipment as needed for assembly or finishing tasks. Maintain accurate documentation of machining processes, inspections, and quality control records in compliance with lean manufacturing principles. Assist in the setup of plastics injection molding or other manufacturing processes when required. Follow safety protocols diligently while operating equipment such as CNC mills, CNC lathes, electrical discharge machining (EDM), and other precision machinery. Experience Proven experience as a Class A Machinist or similar role in a manufacturing environment with a focus on precision machining. Strong knowledge of CNC programming languages such as G-code and M-code; experience with Fanuc controls is preferred. Skilled in reading complex blueprints and applying GD&T standards accurately. Familiarity with electrical discharge machining (EDM), CAM programming software, SolidWorks, CAD software, and coordinate measuring machines (CMM). Mechanical aptitude with a solid understanding of manufacturing processes including plastics injection molding and welding techniques. Experience operating precision measuring instruments like calipers, micrometers, bore gauges, and bore gauges for quality assurance. Ability to work with basic math skills for measurements, calculations, and troubleshooting machining issues. Knowledge of lean manufacturing practices to improve efficiency while maintaining high-quality standards. Requirement 5 to 10 years of CNC machine experience
