What we're looking for: Current Paraprofessional credential—must be credentialed at the time of application Associate's degree (AA) or higher is required Minimum of 2 years prior experience as a Paraprofessional, preferably in a special education or ASD classroom setting Proven ability to work one-on-one with students who have significant behavioral and instructional needs Experience with toileting prompting; feeding assistance is not required for this student Strong communication, patience, and the ability to adapt instructional techniques for individualized learning Reliable, professional, and compassionate attitude

Responsibilities:

Provide dedicated, 1:1 support for a 5th-grade student in all classroom activities and transitions Implement individualized instruction and behavior strategies under the guidance of classroom teachers and specialists Prompt and assist with toileting needs, ensuring dignity and autonomy at all times Monitor and redirect student who may elope, maintaining safety and engagement Support academic and social skill development throughout the school day Collaborate with the classroom team to adapt materials and instruction This contract position offers stability with set hours: 30 hours per week, Monday-Friday, 9:15am-3:45pm. The assignment runs through early June 2026 with the potential for extension over ESY, depending on performance.
