Job Description
Overview Steristat is a specialized healthcare cleaning company serving pharmacies, surgery centers, medical offices, and other controlled healthcare environments throughout Ohio. We are looking for dependable, detail-oriented team members to join our terminal cleaning operations team supporting pharmacy cleanrooms and medical facilities. This is not a standard office cleaning job. Our technicians work in highly controlled healthcare environments where following procedures, maintaining cleanliness standards, and working safely are critical. Position Overview The Cleanroom Terminal Cleaning Technician performs detailed cleaning and disinfection within pharmacy cleanrooms, sterile compounding areas, hazardous drug rooms, and other controlled healthcare environments. Technicians follow detailed cleaning procedures and checklists while working in classified cleanroom environments that require specialized personal protective equipment, gowning, and contamination-control practices. This is a part-time position averaging approximately 30-40 hours per month. Work is primarily scheduled during evenings, with occasional early morning, daytime, weekend, or emergency-response assignments depending on facility needs. Responsibilities Perform terminal cleaning and disinfection within pharmacy cleanrooms and controlled healthcare environments Clean hoods, walls, ceilings, floors, shelving, pass-throughs, and controlled equipment surfaces
- Follow detailed standard operating procedures, procedures, and cleaning checklists Utilize approved disinfectants, sporicidal chemicals, sterile wipes, and healthcare-grade cleaning equipment Complete cleaning logs, validation forms, and required documentation accurately
- Wear personal protective equipment and work within classified cleanroom environments regularly Support scheduled monthly cleanings and emergency cleaning call-outs
- Travel between healthcare and pharmacy facilities throughout the Columbus area, with occasional out-of-town assignments Work as part of a specialized healthcare cleaning team Maintain professional conduct within active healthcare environments Requirements High school diploma or equivalent Must be authorized to work in the United States Valid Ohio driver's license and reliable personal transportation Strong attention to detail Ability to follow detailed procedures and checklists consistently Comfortable working in healthcare and controlled environments Ability to wear personal protective equipment and work in cleanroom environments regularly•Willingness to travel between facilities Ability to pass background screening, drug screening, respirator fit testing, and required health/vaccination clearances Ability to lift, bend, stand, and remain physically active throughout shiftsQualifications•Preferred•Pharmacy technician experience Healthcare cleaning or medical facility cleaning experience Cleanroom, sterile processing, laboratory, or pharmaceutical environment experience•Experience in procedural or checklist-based work environmentsSchedule & Work Environment•Part-time role averaging 30-40 hours monthly•Primarily evening shifts•Occasional early morning, daytime, weekend, or emergency-response work•Support 1-5 healthcare/pharmacy facilities per shift depending on operational needs•Highly regulated healthcare and cleanroom environments Exposure to personal protective equipment, disinfectants, cleaning chemicals, and hazardous drug environmentsIdeal CandidateThe ideal candidate is dependable, professional, and detail-oriented with the ability to follow procedures consistently in healthcare environments where cleanliness, safety, and reliability are critical.
