THE POSITION

This position supports the daily operations of the Clarion County Assistance Office (CAO) by helping manage applications, records, and customer needs. As a Clerical Assistant 2, you will perform the following duties:Application Processing:
Enter client information, and forward applications for Intake processingCase Maintenance:
Process applications or caseload reassign, and issue ACCESS cardsFront Desk Support:
Greet visitors, provide assistance, and guide walk in customers to needed servicesPhone and Messages:
Manage messages received in the CAOs mailbox, handle incoming calls, and direct inquiries to the correct staff memberMail and Faxes:
Sort, process, and distribute incoming and outgoing mail and faxes each dayScanning and Indexing:

Full-time employment, 37.5 hours per week. Work hours are 8:30 AM to 5:00 PM, Monday thru Friday with a 1-hour lunch. Travel and overtime as needed. Free parking available at this facility. Assigned duties are performed in a controlled office environment. In counties with District Offices, employees may be reassigned to different work sites due to operational needs. Reassignments will be made in compliance with contract language.Telework:
This position may be eligible to telework part time. Specific details of the telework schedule will be discussed during the interview process. In order to telework, you must have a securely configured high-speed internet connection and work from an approved location inside Pennsylvania. If you are unable to telework, you will have the option to report to the headquarters office in Clarion County. The ability to telework is subject to change at any time.Salary:
Selected candidates who are new to employment within the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania will begin employment at the starting salary of $36,108 (before taxes). Minimum Experience and Training Requirements:
Six months as a Clerical Assistant 1 (Commonwealth job title or equivalent Federal Government job title, as determined by the Office of Administration); or Graduation from high school; or An equivalent combination of experience and training.Other Requirements:
