Job Description

Long Island Spine Specialists is a an established busy practice with multiple locations across Long Island. Our mission is to provide the highest quality of individualized, comprehensive care to each patient with compassion and integrity. We have an exciting opportunity for a dedicated Full-Time Receptionist/Scheduler within our organization. As the initial point of contact with our practice, you are vital part of our team. This a crucial role in ensuring our patients receive the best first impression from the time of their initial call to their final impression when checking out. This role is customer service centric.
Job Responsibilities:
Handle incoming calls with a friendly and professional demeanor, acting as the first point of contact for our patients. Schedule and confirm patient appointments, ensuring the smooth operation of our clinic's schedule. Provide information to callers, answering questions and addressing concerns with empathy and understanding. Maintain patient records with accuracy and confidentiality, ensuring all information is up-to-date and easily accessible. Collaborate with medical staff to coordinate patient care, acting as a crucial link between patients and healthcare providers. Assist with administrative tasks as needed, such data entry, insurance verifications and authorizations. Contribute to a positive and supportive work environment, fostering a culture of teamwork and excellence. Travel to our Bay Shore and Riverhead locations is required while being based out of our main location in Commack. This position does NOT require evenings or weekends.
Qualifications:
One year of experience in customer service or reception, is not required but preferred. Prior medical experience is not required. Call center experience strongly desired, as we need someone who can handle heavy call volume and multitask. High school diploma or equivalent preferred Bilingual preferred Effective communication skills, both verbally and written Excellent attention to detail. Reliability is a must.
