As a Clerical Supervisor 1, you will play a key part in supporting nursing operations that affect Torrance State Hospital. This position helps manage the flow of clerical work that supports Nursing Administration, Nursing Service, and Nursing Education across the hospital. It requires good judgment, strong communication skills, and the ability to handle sensitive information. As a Clerical Supervisor 1, you will perform the following duties:Document Processing:
Prepare, type, proofread, and distribute reports, forms, meeting notes, and confidential materialsSupervisory Support:
Guide and assign tasks to Clerical Assistant 2 staff in the Nursing Office and patient care buildingsOffice Coordination:
Manage calls, schedule appointments, maintain files, and assist with timekeeping and staffing reportsPolicy Management:
Update and monitor nursing policy manuals and oversee preparation of draft policy documentsAdministrative Assistance:
Support the Chief Nurse Executive by preparing job postings, organizing correspondence, and tracking key deadlinesEquipment Oversight:

Full-time employment Work hours are 8:00 AM to 4:00 PM, Monday- Friday, with a 30-minute lunch.

Minimum Experience and Training Requirements:
One year as a Clerical Assistant 2 (Commonwealth job title or equivalent Federal Government job title, as determined by the Office of Administration); or One year of moderately complex clerical experience; or An equivalent combination of experience and training.Other Requirements:
