The Bethlehem City Housing Authority is looking for a motivated Clerk Typist 2 who is able to read, write, and speak in Spanish and ready to support a busy maintenance team. As a Clerk Typist 2, you will be responsible for all clerical duties in the maintenance department. We will rely on you for careful record keeping, clear communication, and daily coordination with staff and tenants.Work includes the following duties:
Phone Support:
Respond to incoming tenant calls about maintenance orders and provide follow up in bothEnglish and Spanish Work Order Help:
Distribute maintenance work orders to staffRecord Keeping:
Track daily attendance and leave for maintenance employeesPayroll Assistance:
Support payroll tasks and requisition processingCorrespondence Prep:
Type letters and other written materials as needed in bothEnglish and Spanish Scheduling Tasks:
Maintain schedules for pet control and related recordsWork Schedule and Additional Information:
Full-time employment Work hours are 8:00 AM to 4:30 PM, Monday - Friday, with a 30-minute lunch.Telework:

Minimum Experience and Training Requirements:
Six months as a Clerk Typist 1 and educational development to the level of eighth grade; or Completion of a high school business curriculum which included at least one typing course; or Any combination of equivalent experience and training.Other Requirements:
This position requires the selected candidate to be able to read, write, and speak in Spanish. You may be contacted for a Spanish speaking proficiency evaluation conducted by the Bureau of Talent Acquisition, PA Office of Administration. If contacted, you must pass the speaking evaluation in order to be deemed eligible for this position. Your proficiency in reading and writing in Spanish must be demonstrated during the probationary period to achieve regular status in the position. You must meet the PA residency requirement.
