Finance Specialist Delta Community Supports is seeking a detail-oriented and dependable Finance Specialist to join our team. We are a mission-driven organization dedicated to enriching the lives of individuals and families through outstanding community-based supports. Position Summary In this role, you will assist the Finance Department across a broad spectrum of activities including billing, preparing reports, expense coding, and budgeting. You will provide vital backup and support to the finance and Accounts Receivable (AR) teams to ensure the most effective operation of the company.Status:
Non-Exempt Reporting to: Chief Financial Officer (CFO) Key Responsibilities As a Finance Specialist, your essential duties will include:Financial Administration:
Entering budgets into accounting software (Sage and Vena) and assisting in the ongoing development and maintenance of budgets.Compliance & Reporting:
Assisting in the preparation and submission of cost reports for various funders, including DDD, DCF, ODP, and OCYF.Expense Management:
Managing monthly coding of electronic transactions within the credit card system.Operational Support:
Providing routine internal reporting and assisting with various department projects.Systems Usage:
Utilizing HCSIS and Promise programs as required for departmental needs.Quality & Service:
Promoting continuous quality improvement projects and delivering excellent service to both internal and external customers. Qualifications Qualifications We are looking for an adaptable professional who meets the following criteria:Education:
An Associate's Degree (or equivalent) in Accounting.Experience:
A minimum of two (2) years of relevant accounting experience.Technical Skills:
• Proficiency in all areas of Excel is required. Experience with Sage, Vena, HCSIS, Promise Billing, Evolv, and iCare is highly preferred.Core Competencies:
Deep understanding of generally accepted principles of accounting (GAAP). Strong oral and written communication skills. Ability to work independently while also taking direction on specific assignments.
