Free food & snacks Free uniforms Challenge Course Specialist Camp Killoqua is looking for Challenge Course Specialists to help run our high ropes course and climbing wall during the summer season. This position is a great fit for someone who enjoys working with kids, spending time outdoors, and helping campers build confidence through challenge and adventure. No prior challenge course experience is required. Camp Killoqua can provide training as part of employment, but applicants must be comfortable working at heights and able to learn knots, safety systems, and challenge course procedures. Previous climbing, challenge course, or youth work experience is helpful but not required.
Responsibilities include:
Complete daily safety inspections of the climbing wall and high ropes course Instruct campers in rock climbing and support them through high ropes course elements Teach and reinforce equipment use, safety expectations, and challenge course procedures Encourage campers as they build confidence, try new skills, and work through challenges Assist with general camp operations when not running challenge course activities Room and board are included as part of the summer position. Salary is $475 per week. Applicants must be at least 18 years old and able to pass a background check. First Aid certification, ACCT Level 1 certification, climbing experience, and youth work experience are preferred, but not required. Camp Killoqua can help identify training options and/or provide onsite training as appropriate. Employment dates are June 15-August 15. This is a full-time, seasonal, in-person position.
