JOB SUMMARY/PURPOSE
Assists practitioner in assigned Urgent Care and/or specialty clinic(s) in performance of procedures, telephone prescription orders/refills, maintaining patient records and relaying test results. Performs delegated tasks of direct and indirect patient care under the supervision of a physician or mid-level practitioner.
DEPARTMENT DESCRIPTION
The Urgent Care teams at Samaritan Health Services treat conditions that require immediate attention but are not considered to be life-threatening or severe enough to be cared for in the hospital emergency department.
EXPERIENCE/EDUCATION/QUALIFICATIONS
Current Oregon Emergency Medical Technician (EMT
  • Intermediate or Paramedic licensure required.
Healthcare Provider BLS required upon hire. Six (6) months related experience required. Experience in applicable specialty area preferred. Experience and/or training with medical terminology preferred. Lab/EKG experience preferred. Electronic Medical Record (EMR) experience preferred.
