Job Description

The College of Nursing is a National League for Nursing Center of Excellence and is home to Indiana Center for Evidence Based Nursing Practice, a JBI Affiliate Center. Purdue University Northwest's College of Nursing invites applications for the full time academic position of Clinical Assistant Professor for an academic year appointment starting August 17, 2026. Responsibilities Use evidence-based approaches to teaching in classroom and healthcare settings for the undergraduate program. Contribute to curriculum development and revision. Participate in university, professional, and community service. Engage in clinical practice. Rank and salary are commensurate with experience and education. Education Earned master's degree in nursing Earned doctorate in nursing (DNP) or (PhD) preferred Experience Exceptional, experienced based subject matter, expertise in Medical Surgical Nursing. Excellent written and verbal communication skills. Demonstrated teaching or precepting experience. Commitment to life-long learning and eagerness to serve students. Candidates with clinical, classroom teaching, simulation and online teaching experience are strongly encouraged to apply. College Profile The College of Nursing offers undergraduate degrees including a traditional BSN, second degree accelerated BSN, and an online RN to BSN. We offer several MSN options including two advanced practice roles (family nurse practitioner and adult-gerontology clinical nurse specialist) and two advanced online specialties (nurse educator and nurse executive).
