FullTime Posting Details Position Information Posting Number 201104752 Position Title Clinical Assistant/Associate Professor-Oral & Maxillofacial Surgery Residency Program State Wisconsin Employment Status Full Time Position Status Regular If Limited Term (End Date of Assignment, Project, or Grant) Position Type Faculty Job Family Faculty # Hours Per Week 37.5 Position Overview Marquette University School of Dentistry (MUSoD) seeks qualified candidates for a full-time Clinical Assistant/Associate Professor faculty position in Oral & Maxillofacial Surgery committed to excellence in clinical care, resident and pre-doctoral education, and academic service. As Wisconsin's only dental school, MUSoD is responding to workforce needs, expanding access to oral health care for underserved populations, and advancing dental education across the state. MUSoD serves patients on its main campus in Milwaukee and through outreach clinics across Wisconsin, in partnership with affiliated hospitals and health systems. Duties and Responsibilities Responsibilities include didactic and clinical teaching, managing patient care, supervision of resident and pre-doctoral students, serving on MUSoD's Medical Emergency Response Team, and participating in scholarly activities as appropriate. Required Knowledge, Skills and Abilities Qualified applicants must have: DMD/DDS degree from a US or Canadian dental school recognized by the ADA Commission on Dental Accreditation or an equivalent foreign degree Completed an advanced education program in Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery accredited by the ADA Commission on Dental Accreditation, or an equivalent foreign program. A current, valid license to practice dentistry in the State of Wisconsin, or be eligible for a dental faculty license in the State of Wisconsin. Current CPR certification. Preferred Knowledge, Skills and Abilities Preference for this position will be given to candidates with clinical experience in moderate sedation. Previous clinical teaching experience and the potential for teaching excellence and high-quality research are desired.
