Clinical Care Coordinator 30 Peck Rd, Torrington, CT 06790 Hybrid work From $25 an hour - Full-time From $25 an hour - Full-time Position Summary The Clinical Care Coordinator / Behavior Technician is responsible for supporting both clinical care coordination and direct ABA services within the organization.
This role includes approximately:
20 hours per week of administrative/coordination responsibilities 20 hours per week of direct billable ABA services as a Behavior Technician (BT) The Clinical Care Coordinator portion of the role focuses on scheduling coordination, family communication, continuity of care, staffing support, operational clinical flow, and on-call support as needed. The BT portion of the role includes providing direct ABA services to clients in-home, in-center, community-based, and/or via telehealth under the supervision of a BCBA. This role requires strong organizational skills, professionalism, flexibility, communication skills, and the ability to work in a fast-paced ABA environment while balancing both administrative and clinical responsibilities. Essential ResponsibilitiesClinical Care Coordination Responsibilities (Administrative)Scheduling & Coordination Coordinate and maintain client and staff schedules Assist with BT and BCBA scheduling needs Support coverage coordination for call-outs, vacations, and schedule changes Communicate scheduling updates to families and staff Support continuity of care for assigned clients Coordinate telehealth and in-home scheduling logistics Monitor schedule gaps and assist with staffing coverage needs On-Call & Coverage Support Responsible for assisting with on-call coverage and staffing support as assigned Respond to urgent scheduling and staffing needs in a timely manner Assist with same-day coverage coordination for call-outs and schedule changes Communicate with staff, families, and supervisors regarding coverage updates Support continuity of care and minimize service disruptions Some evening and weekend availability is expected based on operational and coverage needs An on-call stipend will be provided for assigned on-call responsibilities in accordance with BHCS policies and operational needs Family & Client Support Serve as a point of contact for families regarding scheduling and coordination needs Support intake and onboarding processes Assist families with appointment coordination and communication Maintain professional and compassionate communication with families Help support positive client and family experiences Clinical & Operational Support Assist with coordination of assessments, reassessments, and supervision schedules Support tracking of authorizations and clinical deadlines Assist with onboarding and required documentation Coordinate communication between clinical and administrative teams Participate in meetings and organizational communication as assigned Support workflow organization and daily operational needs Behavior Technician (BT) Responsibilities (Billable) Provide direct ABA therapy services under the supervision of a BCBA Implement individualized treatment plans and behavior intervention plans Collect accurate data during sessions Support skill acquisition and behavior reduction programs Maintain professionalism with clients and families Complete session notes and documentation in a timely manner Participate in supervision and training requirements Maintain client safety and confidentiality at all times Services may occur: In-home In-center Community-based Schedule & Work Expectations This is a full-time hybrid position consisting of approximately: 20 administrative/coordinator hours weekly 20 direct billable BT hours weekly BHCS operational hours are:
Monday-Friday:
8:00 AM - 7:30 PM In-home services may extend up to 9:00 PM based on client needs
Saturday:
9:00 AM - 3:00 PM Schedules may vary based on: Client needs Staffing needs Coverage needs On-call responsibilities Operational demands Qualifications Experience in ABA, behavioral health, healthcare, or related field preferred Master's Degree preferred Experience working with children and families preferred Strong organizational and communication skills Ability to multitask and problem-solve Ability to maintain professionalism in fast-paced environments Comfortable with scheduling systems, spreadsheets, and electronic systems Reliable transportation and ability to travel between client locations if required Knowledge, Skills, & Abilities Strong interpersonal communication Organizational and time management skills Ability to remain calm under pressure Ability to balance administrative and clinical responsibilities Professional and compassionate communication style Ability to work independently and collaboratively Physical Requirements Ability to sit, stand, walk, bend, and move throughout the workday Ability to work on a computer for extended periods Ability to travel between locations if required Ability to implement behavioral interventions safely when necessary Disclaimer This job description is not intended to be an exhaustive list of all duties, responsibilities, or qualifications associated with the position.
