Job Summary:
Position performs manual warehousing duties as required to receive, store and distribute materials. This position has knowledge of the inventory procedures and processes for duties assigned.
Duties/Responsibilities:
Unload and organize incoming materials. Put away parts in stockroom, warehouse or production floor bins or shelves accurately following labeling procedures. Communicate with Parts & Inventory Associate to fill Sales Orders or shipments. Transfer parts from the department to production bins or shelves. Inform Parts &Inventory Assistant Manager of shipping supplies as required. Report any issues, abnormalities or surprise shortages to Parts & Inventory Assistant Manager. Performs year-end inventory counting. Perform Cycle Counting. Must be available, as needed, to work additional hours for stockroom reorganization, or related inventory projects. Complete all assigned tasks in an accurate and timely manner. Maintain a clean and organized work area. Maintain a "Customer Friendly" and professional attitude when dealing with internal and external customers. Perform other duties as assigned.
Requirements:
Education and Experience:
High School Diploma or equivalent. 1-2 years' experience in similar position is desirable.
Required Skills/Abilities:
Operate Forklifts and Cranes in a safe manner to receive, stock or release items Understanding of UPS, Fed Ex and general shipping procedures.
Physical Requirements:
Lifting/carrying up to 50 lbs. Ability to twist/turn, stoop/bend/squat, push/pull/reach. Frequent standing, repetitive hand/wrist movement, forearm rotation. Ability to climb ladders/step stools.
