About the Role This role is the heartbeat of our clinic operations. As a Clerical Support team member, you'll help create a smooth, welcoming experience for every patient and visitor who walks through our doors. From coordinating schedules to supporting care teams, your work helps ensure patients receive the right care at the right time. What You'll Do In this role, you'll support daily clinic operations while helping patients feel informed and cared for.
Your responsibilities will include:
Greeting patients and visitors with warmth and professionalism Answering phones, responding to questions, and directing inquiries appropriately Scheduling appointments and helping manage clinic calendars Recording and transcribing physician orders accurately Assisting with patient check-in processes, including co-pay collection Maintaining organized and confidential patient information Supporting your team with day-to-day administrative needs Participating in team activities to improve how we serve patients What You'll Bring We're looking for someone who is dependable, patient-focused, and ready to grow. Qualifications:
Required Education and Experience 1. Medical Office Assistant Associate's degree and the equivalent of two (2) years of full-time administrative support experience in a clinical setting requiring the use of medical terminology; or 2. Associate's degree and the equivalent of three (3) years of full-time administrative support experience in a clinical setting requiring the use of medical terminology; or 3. High School diploma or High School Equivalency Diploma, completion of an Roswell Park-approved Medical Assistant certificate program and the equivalent of three (3) years of full-time administrative support experience in a clinical setting requiring the use of medical terminology; or 4. High School diploma or High School Equivalency Diploma and the equivalent of four (4) years of full-time administrative support experience in a clinical setting requiring the use of medical terminology; or 5. High School diploma or High School Equivalency Diploma and the equivalent of three (3) years of full-time experience in customer service and successful completion of a Clinical Center Associate traineeship at Roswell Park Comprehensive Cancer Center (Roswell Park).
