With a 50+ year history, NOVA has expanded to include a continuum of prevention and direct services to prevent and address the needs of victims of sexual abuse and other serious crimes. NOVA is known for its exceptional services and professionalism across many disciplines and the community. As a mature and fiscally sound organization, establishing sustainability is key to our future success, serving all victims who need assistance, educating the community on violence prevention, and providing top-ranked professional training.
POSITION SUMMARY
NOVA's counseling program focuses on all victims of sexual assault and other serious crimes. NOVA is looking to have this individual become certified in Trauma Focused Cognitive-Behavioral Therapy (TFCBT) while managing the administrative work, conducting weekly therapy sessions, and attending supervision and consultation sessions. This position would require participating in individual and group supervision (as assigned) and carrying a caseload of clients, including their significant others as needed.ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS
Will provide Trauma Focused Cognitive-Behavioral Therapy (TFCBT) while managing administrative work, conducting weekly therapy sessions, and attending supervision and consultation meetings. Initiates and maintains relationships within the greater community and collaborates with other organizations serving victims of crime and abuse to promote victims' access to NOVA services as assigned. Refers clients to other NOVA programs or other agencies as appropriate and serves as a liaison for the client if requested. Conducts client intakes and assessments to provide appropriate counseling services as needed. Provides high-quality and effective counseling services to clients in either the community, school, via telehealth, and/or office as assigned. Provides case management services for clients. Maintains all client records, including updates and closings. Provides support to other counselors and/or interns as directed.STAFF DEVELOPMENT
Successful completion of the Sexual Assault Counselor Training (SAC), annual training requirements, and continuing education requirements as applicable. Annual attendance of NOVA's Staff Retreat (1 day, optional). Participate in a staff or agency committee (optional). Meets regularly with Senior Counselor for support, direction, supervision, and feedback.COMPETENCIES

Clinical Counselor I - master's degree and licensure or soon to be licensed (within one year) in social work, counseling, psychology, or another relevant field. Clinical Counselor II - master's degree in social work, counseling, psychology, or another relevant field. A minimum of 2 years of experience working clinically with children, adults, and families. Must be available to work up to 18 hours per week, including two weekdays (Monday-Friday) from 12:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. Friday counselor meetings are optional. Responsibilities also include providing on-call coverage for the Chat/Text/Phone Helpline during assigned business hours. Bilingual/multilingual preferred. Must be comfortable with public speaking. Excellent organizational skills. Proficiency with Office 365 Experience working with client data systems preferred. NOVA may require employees to participate in drug testingLICENSES/CERTIFICATIONS TFCBT
certification is required within one-year post-hire Must meet all required background checks (criminal, FBI, child abuse) at hire and every five years after that Must provide proof of a valid driver's license Must provide proof of valid car insurance with a minimum liability coverage of $100,000/$300,000 upon hire and annually after that NOVA is an AA/EOE. The compensation package includes the following components: Competitive hourly pay rate, 23.51/hr. (non-licensed master's level); $24.18/hr. (licensed, master's level) Quarterly contribution to Profit Sharing Pension Plan (1st quarter following one year of employment. Continued contributions are reviewed quarterly Voluntary contribution to 401K Plan (1st quarter following one year of employment)Accommodation:
