12-month, full-time position, hourly compensation in accordance with the PESPA Collective Bargaining Agreement.PRINCIPLE FUNCTION
To aid the school guidance counselors by providing clerical and technical support in office duties related to guidanceESSENTIAL DUTIES
Serve as the initial contact with the public, students and the staff on all matters relating to communication with guidance counselors. Maintain scheduled appointments. Maintain filing system for the Guidance Office to provide for the easy and timely location of correspondence and other documents. Maintenance of professional confidentiality a must. Assume other duties as assigned by the guidance officeREQUIREMENTS
High School Diploma. Associates Degree in Business or a related field preferred. Strong interpersonal and communication skills. Strong organizational, planning and problem-solving skills. Computer expertise with integrated applications; e.g., Microsoft Office, word processing, Excel database and spreadsheet, graphics, and programming. Comprehensive awareness of office procedures and administrative functions, as well as exceptional skills in all areas of secretarial work, including, but not limited to,correspondence composition. Any additional or alternative qualifications as deemed appropriate by the school counselors and principal.PRE-EMPLOYMENT REQUIREMENTS
Clearances must be done within 12 months and the TB less than 90 days upon hiring PA State Police Clearance (Act 34) Child Abuse Clearance (Act 151) FBI Fingerprint Clearance (Act 114) School Personnel Health Form (Physical and TB test)PDE 6004
