THE POSITION
As a Clinical Dietitian with the Department of Human Services, you will help shape the nutritional care of individuals who rely on dedicated support. This position gives you a chance to guide important decisions that improve daily living and long-term wellness. You will work with a team that supports excellence and encourages growth. Your work will have a lasting impact on the people we serve. The Clinical Dietitian plays a key role in planning and carrying out nutritional care for Individuals with developmental disabilities at the Selinsgrove Center. The work requires strong judgment, careful organization, and a commitment to providing accurate and timely nutritional support. As a Clinical Dietitian, you will perform the following duties:
Nutritional Assessments:
Complete admission and annual assessments and respond to physician consults
Care Recommendations:
Provide guidance to physicians and teams regarding nutritional interventions and plans
Record Management:
Maintain accurate diet records, chart notes, and data in the nutritional management system
Menu Oversight:
Implement therapeutic menu changes, substitutions, and modifications to support dietary needs
Staff Training:
Deliver training and instructions to direct care and food service staff on diet requirements and updates
Committee Participation:
Take part in individual support plan (ISP) meetings, team meetings, and committees such as the
Dysphagia Committee Work Schedule and Additional Information:
Full-time employment, 37.5 hours per week Work hours are 8:00 AM to 4:00 PM, Monday - Friday, with a 30-minute lunch. Overtime and travel as operationally necessary
