Job Description
A forward-thinking Colorado hospital seeks a Clinical Inpatient Pharmacist to drive cutting-edge pharmacy practice, rapid growth, and real impact—where excellence meets momentum. 🎯💊
The Clinical Inpatient Pharmacist will join an award-winning, mission-driven health system to practice at the top of license within a culture of safety, quality, and innovation. National recognition for patient experience and safety is matched by investments in closed-loop medication management, barcode verification, smart infusion pumps, and USP 797/800-compliant cleanrooms. Advanced clinical decision support, antimicrobial stewardship, pharmacokinetics services, and EHR-integrated order sets accelerate evidence-based care for the Hospital Pharmacist. Systemwide quality achievements and strong community partnerships highlight a deep, ongoing commitment to exceptional regional care.
Within a short-term acute care hospital and verified Level II Trauma Center, the Clinical Inpatient Pharmacist supports fast-paced, high-acuity services across the Emergency Department, ICU, perioperative areas, cardiology, oncology, and medical-surgical units. Rapid diagnostics, advanced imaging, cath lab capabilities, and 24/7 operations enable timely, evidence-based interventions. Centralized distribution with decentralized clinical coverage places the Inpatient Clinical Pharmacist at the bedside during codes, rapid responses, and critical consults. Transitions-of-care initiatives, medication reconciliation, and discharge counseling enhance safety and reduce readmissions.
Reporting to pharmacy leadership, the Clinical Inpatient Pharmacist is supported by a Clinical Pharmacy Manager, lead pharmacists, skilled technicians, and automation. Collaboration thrives with friendly nurses, hospitalists, intensivists, surgeons, and a diverse allied team focused on safe, cost-effective therapies. Core scope includes order verification, medication preparation and dispensing, unit stock oversight, sterile IV admixture, chemotherapy and parenteral nutrition, and strict controlled-substance compliance. Key clinical duties span pharmacokinetic dosing, antimicrobial stewardship, formulary management, adverse event reporting, documentation, patient and family education, and active Code Team participation for the Acute Care Pharmacist.
Set in a sought-after Colorado community, the Clinical Inpatient Pharmacist can enjoy four-season recreation with nearby hiking, biking, rafting, climbing, and world-class skiing. 🏔️ A lively arts scene brings concerts, festivals, theaters, galleries, and pro sports within easy reach. Sunny weather, mountain vistas, short commutes, and family-friendly neighborhoods support a balanced lifestyle. A thriving food scene—farm-to-table dining, craft breweries, and global cuisine—complements wellness-forward, outdoor-centric living.
The Inpatient Pharmacist will receive competitive compensation and a full suite of benefits. Connect with a Clinical Management Consultants recruiter today to learn more and take the next step!
