  • Portland, OR
  • Full-Time | Behavioral Health Leadership | Community-Based Crisis Services
  • An established behavioral health organization is seeking an independently licensed Clinical Manager to support the launch and ongoing operations of a Sobering and Deflection Center in Portland, Oregon.
This program provides immediate support and stabilization for individuals experiencing acute intoxication, substance-related impairment, behavioral health crises, and other community-based needs—while helping divert individuals away from emergency departments and the criminal justice system. This is an opportunity to step into a highly impactful leadership role within an innovative, mission-driven environment focused on harm reduction, recovery, and compassionate care for vulnerable populations.
  • About the Role
  • The Clinical Manager will oversee daily clinical operations and provide leadership to a multidisciplinary team supporting individuals in crisis.
This role partners closely with nursing staff, behavioral health professionals, peer support specialists, and community agencies to ensure safe, trauma-informed, and person-centered care. The ideal candidate is a strong behavioral health leader who thrives in fast-paced environments, enjoys mentoring teams, and is passionate about supporting individuals with substance use and co-occurring behavioral health needs.
  • What You'll Be Doing
  • + Provide clinical and operational oversight for the Sobering and Deflection Center + Supervise and support behavioral health staff, case managers, peer support specialists, and clinical personnel + Provide clinical supervision to assigned staff as appropriate + Ensure trauma-informed, recovery-oriented, and person-centered care practices + Assist with crisis intervention, de-escalation, and clinical decision-making in high-acuity situations + Partner with nursing staff, providers, EMS, hospitals, and community organizations to coordinate care and diversion efforts + Support onboarding, coaching, staff development, and ongoing clinical training + Monitor documentation standards, program compliance, and quality assurance initiatives + Participate in incident review, performance improvement, and operational planning + Help maintain a safe, therapeutic, and supportive environment for both participants and staff •Qualifications•+ Master's degree in Behavioral Health, Counseling, Social Work, Psychology, or related field required + Active independent Oregon licensure required (LCSW, LPC, or LMFT) + Previous leadership or supervisory experience within behavioral health, substance use treatment, crisis stabilization, or community-based services strongly preferred + Experience working with high-acuity behavioral health and substance use populations required + Strong understanding of trauma-informed care, harm reduction, crisis intervention, and recovery-oriented practices + Ability to lead effectively in fast-paced, evolving clinical environments + Strong communication, leadership, and interdisciplinary collaboration skills •Why This Opportunity Stands Out•+ Opportunity to help shape a newly developing Sobering and Deflection program + Mission-driven work supporting underserved and vulnerable populations + Collaborative leadership team and supportive clinical environment + Strong long-term growth potential within behavioral health leadership + Meaningful, community-impact focused work every day •Benefits•+ Medical, Dental, Vision, Disability & Life Insurance + 401(k) with employer match + Generous PTO package + Employee Assistance Program (EAP) + Ongoing training and professional development opportunities + Tuition reimbursement opportunities available •
Pay Details:
  • $45.
