Category Pharmacy - Clinical Pharmacist Job Type Contract A hospital pharmacy is seeking two inpatient clinical pharmacists to provide expert medication management and ensure safe, accurate drug therapy in a busy inpatient setting. Both positions start June 1st for a 13-week contract in Elkhart, IN — conveniently located near South Bend, IN.

Shift options include:

Day Shift:

6:30 AM - 2:30

PM Day/Evening Shift:

11:00 AM - 7:30

PM Key Responsibilities:

Utilize Cerner EMR and Meds Manager for order verification with precision and compliance Prepare and verify medications including IV antibiotics, anticoagulants, and electrolytes Manage inpatient medication distribution processes, including Pyxis and Pharmacy Keeper systems Support IV room operations with preparation and quality checks Collaborate effectively with healthcare teams to optimize patient outcomes

Desired Experience & Qualifications:

Proficiency in Cerner order verification is mandatory Familiarity with inpatient pharmacy hospital distribution services and IV room preparation Experience with hospital-based medications, particularly intravenous therapies New graduates may qualify if experienced with Cerner Meds Manager order verification Must reside at least 50 miles from the facility location This contract offers the unique opportunity for pharmacists with Cerner system expertise to work in an established inpatient hospital environment.
