Job Description

Category Pharmacy - Clinical Pharmacist Job Type Contract A healthcare facility in Silt, CO is seeking a skilled Clinical Pharmacist for an engaging contract role starting ASAP, with an assignment projected through 8/15/26 or longer. This position offers a rotating day/evening schedule working 40 hours per week, beginning at either 6:30 AM or 8:00 AM Monday through Friday, with rotating weekend shifts from 7:00 AM to 12:00 PM. The role plays a critical part during the facility's electronic medical record conversion from Meditech to Epic, so candidates must have EPIC experience; Meditech training is a plus.
Key Responsibilities:
Prepare and dispense medication orders as requested by physicians Maintain medication stock in patient care areas ensuring safety and compliance Interpret medication orders and maintain accurate computerized medication profiles Compound and dispense pharmaceuticals, including IV admixtures, chemotherapy, and parenteral nutrition Monitor drug therapy regimens for interactions, allergies, and appropriateness Perform pharmacokinetic drug dosing and review antibiotic appropriateness Provide clinical consultation, drug information, and therapeutic alternatives to medical staff Document clinical activities and participate in quality improvement initiatives Member of the Code Response Team, supporting emergency protocols
Qualifications & Experience:
Active Colorado Pharmacist License in good standing Graduate from an ACPE-accredited School of Pharmacy with a BS Pharmacy degree BLS and ACLS certifications from the American Heart Association Mandatory annual flu vaccination (no exemptions accepted) Proven experience with EPIC electronic medical records systems This contract opportunity is ideal for pharmacists ready to contribute clinical expertise while supporting a dynamic EMR conversion and patient care operations.
