  • Clinical Pharmacist Job Type Contract Provide expert pharmaceutical care in a dynamic 200+ bed community hospital setting, supporting a multidisciplinary team to optimize patient outcomes.
This clinical pharmacist role involves vital responsibilities that ensure safe and effective medication use for diverse patient populations.
Location:
Alexandria, LA Schedule:
4 ten-hour shifts per week Rotating schedule with varying shifts (6:00 AM
  • 4:30 PM, 7:00 AM
  • 5:30 PM, or 12:30 PM
  • 11:00 PM) Every other weekend required
Responsibilities:
Verify medication orders accurately and efficiently Supervise pharmacy technicians and manage workflow Consult with physicians and nursing staff regarding pharmacotherapy Perform pharmacokinetic monitoring and dose adjustments Utilize EPIC and Pyxis systems for effective medication management
Qualifications:
Valid pharmacist license with experience in clinical hospital pharmacy Familiarity with inpatient pharmacy operations in a community hospital setting Proficient in EPIC electronic health records and Pyxis automated dispensing systems Strong communication skills for collaborating with healthcare teams Ability to work flexible shifts including evenings and weekends This contract position offers a 13-week assignment with an immediate start, providing an excellent opportunity to apply clinical skills in a collaborative hospital environment.
