Job Description

Field Technicians Job Description Our team is currently looking for Field Technicians in the Louisiana area! This individual will be responsible for performing inventory, take measurements and pictures, perform inspections and collect data on power distribution lines and poles. + Must be able to travel all over Louisiana. + Lodging is provided, meals are mileage are expensed. + Must be able to work 10 hour shift, 6 days/week, or work 8 days on and have 4 days off. + Must be able to use your own vehicle. About The Company This role supports a well‑established national consulting and engineering organization with more than 50 years of experience delivering environmental, energy, and infrastructure solutions across the U.S. The company is known for its strong safety culture, steady field workload, and long‑term project stability. Field technicians have the opportunity to work on meaningful projects that support critical infrastructure and environmental protection, while gaining hands‑on experience, training, and clear paths for career growth within a respected, industry‑leading firm. Responsibilities + Conduct field inspections and assessments to ensure compliance with engineering standards. + Collaborate with team members to deliver efficient power distribution solutions. + Engage in data collection and analysis to support engineering projects. + Utilize Pole Foreman, Katapult and/or IKE GPS equipment for field data collection and project execution. Essential Skills + At least 1 year of experience utilizing IKE GPS, Katapul or similar equipment. + Must have strong computer skills and be able to use Laptop or Ipad. + Experience with Katapult or GIS is a plus. + Must have experience working in the field. Additional Skills & Qualifications that are helpful + Knowledge with power distribution. + Strong understanding of electrical design and field work. + Knowledge of utility distribution and subsurface utilities. + Knowledge in power delivery and power generation. Job Type & Location This is a Contract position based out of New Orleans, LA. Pay and Benefits The pay range for this position is $25.00 - $28.00/hr. Eligibility requirements apply to some benefits and may depend on your job classification and length of employment.
