Job Description

Category Pharmacy•Clinical Pharmacist Job Type Contract This opportunity is for a Clinical Pharmacist specializing in Long Term Care, supporting multiple facilities including skilled nursing, personal care, and hospice settings. The position involves verifying medication orders, packaging, and controlled substances management while providing clinical support and answering queries from healthcare providers.
Location:
Butler, PA Schedule:
40 hours per week Pharmacy hours: Monday through Friday, 8:00 AM•6:00
PM Saturday:
8:00 AM•4:00
PM Sunday:
8:00 AM•3:00
PM Core Responsibilities:
Verify medication orders entered by data entry technicians for various healthcare facilities Review blister-packed medications as well as sterile and non-sterile formulations Respond to phone inquiries from nursing facilities, hospice nurses, and physicians, addressing clinical questions Accurately count controlled substances and maintain detailed perpetual inventory documentation Inspect and verify emergency medication boxes
Preferred Experience and Qualifications:
Bachelor's degree in Pharmacy Licensed and registered pharmacist in the state of Pennsylvania, in good standing Minimum of 1 year pharmacy experience, Long Term Care experience preferred Ability to perform sitting, standing, and tasks requiring fine motor skills and good visual acuity Capability to lift up to 30 pounds
Technical Skills:
Proficient with QS1, Docutrack, and PCC operating systems This is a contract assignment initially for one month with the possibility of extension. Candidates must be prepared to work within the outlined hours and provide dedicated clinical support to long-term care facilities.
