Job Description

Category Pharmacy•Clinical Pharmacist Job Type Contract Seeking an experienced Clinical Pharmacist with expertise in Long Term Care to support skilled nursing facilities, personal care facilities, and hospice services. This contract opportunity offers a chance to apply your knowledge in a dynamic pharmacy setting with established operating systems and a collaborative environment.
Location:
Gibsonia, PA Schedule:
40 hours per week Monday through
Friday:
8:00 AM•6:00
PM Saturday:
8:00 AM•4:00
PM Sunday:
8:00 AM•3:00
PM Assignment Timeline:
1 month with potential extension
Key Responsibilities:
Verify medication orders entered by data entry technicians for long-term and hospice care patients Review blister-packaged, sterile, and non-sterile medications to ensure accuracy Address clinical inquiries from nursing facilities, hospice nurses, and physicians professionally and promptly Conduct control substance counts and maintain accurate perpetual inventory documentation Inspect and maintain emergency medication boxes to comply with regulations
Required Qualifications:
Bachelor's degree in Pharmacy Active pharmacist license in good standing in the state of Pennsylvania Minimum 1 year of pharmacist experience; prior Long Term Care pharmacy experience preferred Ability to perform physical duties including sitting, standing, fine motor tasks, visual acuity, and lifting up to 30 pounds Familiarity with pharmacy software systems such as QS1, Docutrack, and PCC is essential for streamlined operations. This contract position allows you to leverage your clinical expertise in a supportive team environment while making a meaningful impact on patient care within long-term care settings.
