  • Pharmacist Job Type Contract This pharmacist role offers an engaging opportunity to work in a fast-paced pharmacy supporting skilled nursing facilities, personal care facilities, and hospice care.
The position is based in Gibsonia, PA, on a contract basis with a 1-month assignment timeline, with potential for ongoing extension or consideration of an 8-week contract.
Schedule:
40 hours per week Pharmacy hours: Monday through Friday, 8am
  • 6pm Saturday, 8am
  • 4pm Sunday, 8am
  • 3pm Responsibilities include: Verifying medication orders entered by data entry technicians for various care facilities Reviewing packaged medications, including blister-packed, sterile, and non-sterile drugs Responding to phone inquiries from nursing facilities, hospice nurses, and physicians, addressing clinical questions Counting controlled substances and maintaining accurate perpetual inventory documentation Checking emergency medication boxes to ensure readiness
Qualifications:
Bachelor's degree in Pharmacy Active pharmacist license in Pennsylvania, in good standing Minimum of 1 year of pharmacist experience; long-term care (LTC) experience preferred Physical ability to sit, stand, perform fine motor tasks, demonstrate visual acuity, and lift up to 30 pounds
Technology:
Familiarity with QS1, Docutrack, and PCC operating systems This position is ideal for pharmacists with LTC experience who appreciate a dynamic role involving direct clinical interactions and medication verification. The contract nature allows flexibility, with the possibility of extension.
