Clinical Supervisor

Under the direct supervision of the Kings County Treatment Director will provide a variety of substance use disorder (SUD) and co-occurring disorder (COD) treatment and mental health services for Champions SUD Programs in Kings and Tulare Counties. Ensure compliance with state and federal laws and regulations, in addition to the Policies and Procedures set-forth by Champions. Ensure appropriate documentation within the electronic client records is maintained; which includes the use of a billing system and EHR. Furthermore, work collaboratively with all divisions within Champions' in order to provide integrated services and treatment for clientele. Perform client assessments, provide group and individual treatment services and develop individualized treatment plans. Complete Treatment Authorizations for Residential placements. Complete counselor consultations for client assessments/diagnosis. Provide clinical supervision for all Champions clinical practicum students serving in Kings and Tulare County programs. Supervise Clinician I providing clinical services in our Youth SUD Treatment Program in Tulare County. Provide crisis intervention services for clients experiencing acute episodes in Champions programs. Provide therapeutic interventions for assigned clientele, including screening, assessment, individual and family therapy. Develop care plans and coordinate care with assigned counselors and case management staff. Conduct SUD treatment and COD therapy groups in Kings County SUD Treatment Programs. Provide case management services for clients and families in the program as needed, including referrals to community resources. Actively participate in all weekly supervision and team meetings. Attend weekly with multidisciplinary treatment teams (internal and external). Maintain accurate clinical charts and follow all clinical documentation timelines and requirements. Ensure client documentation is accurate and submitted within the established time frame. Ensure appropriate documentation within the electronic EHR system where client records are maintained. Develop higher levels of expertise in staff members by encouraging further education, participation in seminars and providing learning opportunities in the area of mental health and/or substance use. Meet agency productivity requirements. Ensure compliance with state and federal laws and regulations, in addition to the Policies and Procedures set-forth by Champions. Work collaboratively and develop partnerships with family and recovery support agencies and other divisions within Champions to ensure comprehensive intervention (i.e., Probation, Public Health, Behavioral Health, Human Services, schools, churches, medical providers, and other community-based agencies). Ensure that all services are provided in a professional and strengths-based manner. Performs other duties as assigned. Must hold a valid, active, unrestricted license to practice as a Marriage Family Therapist, Clinical Social Worker, or Clinical Psychologist in the state of California. License must be active and in good standing with the state licensing board. Must be licensed for at least 2 years and maintain license in good standing throughout employment. Must have completed supervision training requirements according to BBS to supervise clinical trainees/associates. Must have valid California Class C Driver's License; maintain a good safety record (verified by DMV at hire and periodically) and a reliable vehicle; proof of comprehensive auto insurance if driving personal vehicle.

Must complete pre-employment requirements including:

Must be drug tested prior to hire, with drug test results negative for illegal drug use, including marijuana; pass background check (Live Scan Fingerprint); and must have TB clearance within 60 days prior to hire. Must be willing and able to use a personal vehicle for work-related travel; mileage reimbursement provided in accordance with federal guidelines. First Aid and CPR certifications obtained within 90 days of employment and maintain current thereafter. Minimum of two years' experience working with individuals with a history of mental illness and/or substance abuse. Experience in child, adolescent, and family therapy and commitment to highest quality of strengths based, family system clinical care. Strong clinical documentation skills; excellent verbal and written communication skills and knowledge of co-occurring disorders and evidence-based treatment approaches. Knowledge and proficiency regarding Core Correctional Practices for substance use residential treatment. Capable of presenting ideas, information and viewpoints clearly, both verbally and in writing. Ability to utilize analysis, objectivity, and clinical judgment to make informed decisions. Basic knowledge and skills with computer keyboarding and computer programs. Advanced office management practices and operating procedures. Able to multi-task in a fast-paced environment, apply professional judgement in solving difficult issues, and to communicate in a clear, precise, and professional manner. Strong Interpersonal skills; ability to work effectively with people in a constructive manner within a community-based treatment setting. Bilingual (English and Spanish speaking) preferred. Recovering individuals must have a minimum of two (2) years of continuous sobriety to be considered for employment Must be able to provide services to clients that are culturally humble, trauma-informed, gender-responsive, and patient-centered. Ability to work flexible schedules/shifts/areas. Must maintain good relationships with consumers, co-workers, government, and civic representatives, as well as community members within whom the Agency is transacting business and relate to them in a professional manner. Ability to work independently and to carry out assignments to completion within parameters of instructions given, prescribed routines, and standard accepted practices.
